Arizona Office of Tourism has introduced a brand-new logo and identity today, reflecting the state’s rich heritage and dynamic spirit in an optimistic leap into the future. Spearheaded by the creative team at the Phoenix-based ad agency Heart & Soul Marketing, this rebranding effort embodies the essence of Arizona through a thoughtfully crafted visual representation.
Arizona is more than just a place; it is an amalgamation of diverse landscapes, cultures, and experiences. The challenge was to encapsulate this multifaceted identity into a single emblem. To achieve this, the team engaged with Arizonans from all walks of life, gathering insights into what makes the state unique. They explored the colors, textures, and symbols that resonate with residents, resulting in a holistic design that truly reflects the state’s spirit.
Hannah Heisler, an associate creative director at Heart and Soul, led this ambitious project. Her recent accolade as Young Ad Person of the Year by the Arizona Chapter of the American Advertising Federation highlights her exceptional talent. Joining her were Matt Fisher, a seasoned creative in the valley, and Kevin Kuiu, a designer whose Hopi heritage adds a deep cultural layer to the project.
The new logo is a stunning testament to Arizona’s past and future. At its core is a radiant sun, symbolizing the state’s vibrant and enduring energy. The design utilizes a mandala pattern, a timeless art form that represents the cyclical nature of life and the interconnectedness of all things.
